What to Look for in a Tattoo Studio to Ensure Your Safety
Even if you decide to get a tattoo somewhere else, be sure they follow the same rigorous standards as Ink Different Tattoo School. Here are the questions you can ask about a tattoo shop’s standard practices and procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep you safe:
What is the protocol for routine cleaning, decontaminating, and disinfecting?
Is there a dedicated handwashing sink that artists use regularly?
Do artists use single-use, sterilized equipment and protect their workspaces?
Is PPE (personal protective equipment) used for everyone in the shop?
Is the 6 feet’ social distancing range maintained with ample signage? Do you have appointment limits and private work spaces?
Are you and other clients required to wear PPE? Did you take any measures to confirm that everyone in the tattoo parlor is free from COVID-19 symptoms?
Do the tattoo shop and its artists have a license?
When you get positive answers to all these questions, you will know that your health and safety is being taken seriously, and you can have a safe tattoo experience.
