1. Financial Benefits of Changing Careers And Becoming A Tattoo Artist In Philadelphia

Well, well…The tattoo industry is a booming business in Philadelphia! With the right training and education: you, my friend, can be a part of it!

Becoming a Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia is an exciting new venture for those who are looking to change careers. It’s also an excellent choice for those who want to earn more money, want to work less, or both! These are the financial benefits of changing careers and becoming a Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia.

2. No Limits On Income

So, Tattoo Artists can earn a living in several ways: they can work on commission, set their prices for tattoos, or even sell their art. That being said, the starting income for a beginning Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia is $ 40,320, and can reach $50,000 if you focus on building a client base. That’s more than most people make in their first year on a new job. However, how much you earn depends on several factors.

First of all, consider how many clients you have per week, how high your base rate is and how much experience you have with tattooing. According to factors like these, you can also earn more than the average starting income of a Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia. It all depends on how much work you put into it! Remember marketing your art is critical!

4. Total Freedom In Becoming a Tattoo Artist

As a Tattoo Artist, you can work when and where you want. You will be your own boss and set your own rules. This is a total game changer and brings a lot of advantages in terms of time management, creative freedom, and geographical freedom.

5. Time Freedom

Good news! Tattoo Artists have the freedom of being able to choose their own hours and work as little or as much as they want. What does this mean? It means that they can work on their own schedule, which can be very appealing to those who are looking for a lifestyle change. As mentioned, Tattoo Artists are in high demand, so you won’t be out of work anytime soon. Because tattoos are usually set outside working hours, as a Tattoo Artist, you usually work by appointment only. This way, you can have a lot of work-life balance.

Finally, as a Tattoo Artist, you no longer have to deal with a boss asking you if you can work a few more hours because the choice is yours! Win-Win!

6. Creative Freedom

changing careers and becoming a tattoo artist in phillyAs you may have heard, the main reason for the “Quiet Quitting Movement” is that people cannot or may not use their creativity in the workplace. Ultimately, this leads to people only doing work for which they are paid and only working within working hours. This allows for more free time after work, allowing you to spend time on a creative activity.

However, if you work as a Tattoo Artist, you are engaged in creative expression every day. So if you want to avoid quitting quietly, a tattoo apprenticeship may be a great fit for you!

7. Geographic Freedom

Look, one of the main reasons people change careers and become a Tattoo Artist is their craving for a lifestyle change. You see, some people have a very different idea of what their dream lifestyle looks like than what they are living now. If you are one of these people, it might be time to consider making a change! Did you always want to travel, but your current job doesn’t allow it? As a Tattoo Artist, you have an enormous amount of geographical freedom because, in every place where people can be found, there are people who want to be tattooed. Besides this, you don’t have to target a specific audience anymore because the taboo surrounding tattoos is also pretty much gone. This in turn ensures that you don’t have to consider age or employment categories when talking to new clients. Everyone is getting tattoos!

8. Leave A Legacy Through Your Art Just By Changing Careers

You see, you can make your tattoos very affordable in the early days of your career just to gain popularity and build customer trust. This helps you promote yourself and still gives you the satisfaction of knowing that you helped yourself leave behind a legacy. As a Tattoo Artist, you leave your legacy through art, and during your career, you will be able to do what you love and share that with others.

9. Meet Amazing People Along The Way

We know, it’s not always easy to find the right career path. But listen, if you’re willing to look for a change and want to meet amazing people while doing something you love, then becoming a Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia might be the perfect fit for you. After all, if you work as a Tattoo Artist, you meet new people every day! From a newly graduated lawyer to a seasoned business person, and from grandparents with their grandchildren to couples and siblings… anyone can become your customer! If you enjoy working with different types of people and have a talent for turning someone’s story into art, then you, my friend, are a Tattoo Artist in the making.

10. Leave Your Mark With Your Unique Style

There are many advantages to changing careers and becoming a Tattoo Artist in Philadelphia. The benefits of being self-employed include the ability to work from anywhere, the opportunity for higher pay, no commute, and more flexible hours. Think about this as well: you could find your own niche in the market AND make a name for yourself as your talents and ability grow. By creating your own unique style or eventually focusing on the one you love, you become recognized as an artist and leave a clear mark in the industry as other artists copy your style. Remember, imitation is the best form of flattery.

11. Leave A Legacy By Guiding New Tattoo Artists

You can also leave a legacy by mentoring new Tattoo Artists, just as you were trained initially. If you start as a Tattoo Artist, you’ll learn the trade tricks from an experienced Tattoo Artist. After your apprenticeship, you will work independently and learn more about perfecting your style, safety, different skin types, and more! Consider this: There will be a moment in the middle of your career when you will be ready for the next step! What is this step? This is when you change from artist to mentor. At this point, you may even train new Tattoo Artists, pass on your knowledge and skills, and create a legacy for yourself! Doesn’t this sound exciting?
